he World of the Nebra Sky Disk - New Horizons
National Exhibition from 4 June 2021 to 9 January 2022
From 4 June 2021 to 9 January 2022, the State Museum of Prehistory will present a major special exhibition in which the results of the far-reaching research on the Nebra Sky Disk over the past 20 years will be presented in a unique combination of natural science, archaeology, social theory and art. The latest findings on long-distance trade, social elites, religious beliefs, monumental burial and ritual buildings and genetics are illustrated by means of spectacular and numerous loans from all over Europe and staged in a proven exclusive design. For the visitor, the fascinating picture of a networked Europe at the end of the Stone Age and during the Bronze Age emerges with princely tombs, golden ritual objects, cult installations and imports from the Orient.

Unfortunately, the Nebra Sky Disk will not be open to visitors from 1 November 2020 to 3 June 2021 due to renovation and reconstruction work in the run-up to the national exhibition. We ask for your understanding.
